May 18th, Nessing Medical Outreach #3

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today was an awesome day! It was day #3 with our medical outreach in Nessing. We woke up to a thunder storm wondering if we would have any patients. But of course God something planned with all the rain and thunder. We were able to see many patients from the surrounding villages of Grey and Haku. Many of these patients suffered from worms, diarrhea, headache, and gastric problems. As we tried to break for lunch more thunder, lightning, and rain hit Nessing village. Many of the people that had already been seen in our medical clinic had to take cover in the church(clinic). As I was finishing with my last patient before lunch I hear the loud prayers of Pastor Shem as he laid his hands on several of the ladies from Haku. About 9 adults with their children were sitting on the floor of the church while pastor Shem shared the Gospel with them.

3 of the ladies asked to accept Jesus into their hearts! Our team then gathered arround and laid hands on them to pray! It was very powerful! As we finished with our prayer our cook announces that lunch for the team is ready. So we gathered, held hands and prayed. As we got in line for our food, the Spirit spoke to all of our team members to give our portion to the ladies from Haku(about 9 adults and 10 children).

There was no way we could eat our meals in front of these ladies as it poured rained outside. And especially as 3 of those ladies had just accepted the Lord! Those ladies had a look of surprise and amazement that were were giving them food. It was truly a touching moment! After they were feed, God amazingly supplied food from the same pots, enough for our entire team of 8 and the nepali team of 9! It felt like Jesus' feeding of the 5000 with the fish and loaves of bread! Many of these ladies(according to Pastor Shem) would previously did not want to hear about Jesus or wear the neclace crosses, After they were fed, they all asked for the crosses to wear! It was truly an awesome day in Nessing! God truly had a purpose fo the thunderstorm! Praise be to Jesus! His Magnificent power endures forever! AMEN!
